Pravkar sem POSODOBIL Ubuntu 12.04 LTS in zgodila se je katastrofa. Ko se je računalnik ponovno zagnal je nehala delati WIFI kartica. Sistem je enostavno ne najde več. Isto se dogaja tudi s Slobuntujem 12.04.

Brezžična povezava je po novem ONEMOGOČENA in je ni možno več ponovno omogočiti. Vsaj jaz je ne znam. Verjetno gre za tisti novi pokvarjen gonilnik.

  • Ampak to pomeni, da se moram povezati z računalnikom na katerm je ubuntu. :)
    Bom probal skopirati na usb kljucek.
  • A nimaš kabla? ..vštekaj v router pa si online..

    drugač pa lahko tudi narediš
    lshw -c network > izpis.txt; dmesg >> izpis.txt

    in nato izpis.txt daš na ključek ter uploadaš nekam

    Če grem v: Sistemske nastavitve -> Omrežje -> Brezžično

    Je tam Brezžično Nedostopno. Zdraven je gum za VKLUČENO/IZKLJUČENO. Tega gumba ni možno vključiti (verjetno ker ni omrežja?). No preden sem zadevo "posodobil" je to vključevanje/izključevanje delalo brez problemov.

    Sem 100%, da je nekaj narobe z gonilniki.

    Probal sem tudi:

    sudo rfkill unblock wifi; sudo rfkill unblock all
    sudo rfkill list

    (z sudo in brez sudo) pa nič
    ne zažene brezžične omrežne kartice
  • dmesg? Imaš mogoče fizično tipko? poglej še iwconfig, kaj ti tam piše.

    Odgovor na dmesg pa sem že prilepil zgoraj.
  • Koliko sem prečital na drugih forumih, je novi gonilnik (kateri se je verjetno prenesel med posodobitvijo) poln hroščev in poplnoma neuporaben. Treba ga je odstraniti in inštalirati nazaj starega. Toda meni osebno se ne sanja kako to storiti.
  • cat /var/log/dpkg.log | grep upgrade | tail -n 20 
    ... da vidimo če ti se je res posodobil gonilnik ali ne :)

    lahko pa tudi prilepiš link do forumov kjer si bral o slabem gonilniku

    Medtem je za kratek čas brezžična povezava spet začela delovati. To je bilo vidno zgoraj ob kliku na ikono za povezave. Seveda so bila vidna tudi vsa lokalna wifi omrežja. Kaj sem naredil? V nastavitvah za žično povezavo (LAN) sem izbrisal drugi IP naslov od DNS strežnikov, tako je ostal le eden. Ko sem shranil, se je LAN kartica sama resetirala (povezava se je prekinila in nato zopet vzpostavila) in žično omrežje je bilo zopet na voljo ter na moje veliko presenečenje brezžično omrežje (WiFi) tudi. :)

    No šel sem pogledat, če tisti gumb za vklop/izklop v Sistemske nastavitve -> Omrežje -> Brezžično -> VKLJUČENO/IZKLJUČENO TUDI DELA ? Toda ne. Gumb ne dela.

    Potem sem šel dodat nazaj drugi IP za DNS strežnik. LAN kartica se ni sama resetirala, zato sem jo ročno. Potem je WiFi spet nehal delat in vse po starem je bilo.

    Tukaj je zgodovina kaj se je dogajalo:

    Ob kliku na ikono za povezave piše brezžična povezava je onemogočena s stikalom strojne opreme.

    Morda pa je napaka v tistem gumbu.

    Še nekaj. Linux testiram glede na odzivnost ob uporabi večih DNS strežnikov. Zaenkrat normalno dela le, če je v uporabi le en IP naslov za DNS strežnik. Kakorhitro dodam drugega (da ne govorim o tretjem), se sistem obesi na enega izmed njih (navadno prvega) in na ostale enostavno pozabi.

    Bil sem na toliko forumih, da sem pozabil kje sem prečital tisto o gonilniku.
    Prečital sem tudi, da imajo nekateri računalniki fizični gumb za vklop/izklop wifi povezave in možnost istega dejanja je tudi v biosih. Moj rač. takega gumba nima, je pa možno to storiti v biosih. Računalnik sem ugasnil. Ponovno zagnal in šel v biose. Tam sem onemogočil wifi in ga ponovno omogočil, zadevo shranil in rač. ponovno zagnal. Wifi je delal. VKLOPLJEN je bil tudi gumb v nastavitvah (Sistemske nastavitve -> Omrežje -> Brezžično -> VKLJUČENO/IZKLJUČENO). ??????
    Odločil sem se, da je dovolj za danes in ugasnil računalnik.

    No pa sem končno ugotovil v čem je problem. Nagaja stikalo (Sistemske nastavitve -> Omrežje -> Brezžično -> VKLJUČENO/IZKLJUČENO). Ko stikalo enkrat izključimo ga ni možno več nazaj vključiti. O tem stikalu je bilo govora na tistem forumu o pokvarjenem gonilniku. Pravijo, da bo treba tam odpraviti kar nekaj hroščev.

  • Priporočam, da pošlješ poročilo o hrošču na Launchpad. Tako bo najhitreje rešeno.

    Končno mi je zadevo uspelo rešiti. Ubuntu 12.04 LTS sem inštaliral na Lenovo R60e. V enem od prejšnjih postov sem zapisal, da ta računalnik nima fizičnega on/off stikala. Nažalost ali na srečo ga ima, toda malo je skrito. Pravzaprav sem mislil, da gre za zaklepanje monitorja, ko je le ta zaprt. Stikalo je na sprednji strani.

    Stikalo je potrebno vklopiti (prikazano mora biti zeleno polje). Nato je treba računalnik izklopiti -> potegniti ven omrežno napajanje -> odstraniti baterijo za nekaj sekund. Ponovno vstavimo baterijo in priklopimo omrežno napajanje. Računalnik vklopimo (zaženemo) in zadeva bi morala delat.

    Stikalo (Sistemske nastavitve -> Omrežje -> Brezžično -> VKLJUČENO/IZKLJUČENO) dela.
    Izbiranje (obkljukanje) Omogoči brezžično omrežje tudi dela.
    Meni vsekakor sedaj dela vse tako, kot je treba. Zaenkrat. ;)

  • Aha, no potem si naletel na "podobno" finto kot jaz nekoč. Prenosnik je imel za wireless svetlečo lučko, ki je bila hkrati tudi gumb za vklop/izklop wirelessa. Slednji je delal dokler ni nekdo med uporabo ponesreči pritisnil na ta gumb. Wireless je nehal delati, mene je pa čakalo iskanje morebitnih napak (prenosnik ni bil moj). Izjemno frustrirajoče ... da je lučka tudi gumb sem ugotovil šele po par urah nameščanja/odstranjevanja gonilnikov.
