Zagon Windows XP iz GRUBa

Danes sem namestil Kubuntu 6.06 in zdaj ne morem v seznamu GRUBa več izbrati Windows XP. A mogoče kdo ve, kako bi se dalo to urediti?

    Ave Ubuntovniki!
    U-tu 6.06 je program, ki je kot nalašč za laika kot sem sam. Tudi GRUB deluje tako kot je potrebno ampak po "svoje".
    Za razliko od U-tuja 5, neznam, ne morem GRUB U-tuja 6 prilagoditi po svoje. To pomeni, da ne morem dati WinXP prednost in auto-zagon po /xx/ sekundah.
    Je možno kaj narediti in če je, KAJ?

    1. Ubuntu NI program. Ampak celoten operacijski sistem

    2. Grub je ostal popolnoma enak kot v prešnjih verzijah.

    Za to da daš najprej xp lahko upoarbiš sekcijo

    default 0

    Za avtomatski zagon pa še sekcijo

    timeout 3

    Potem pa lahko še NEskriješ menuja s zakomentiranjem opcije hiddemenu

    Uspelo ti je, da zardim kot nevesta, ki jo tast vščipne za "tazadno", vendar pa ti na mojo žalost ni uspelo, me naučiti (v treh stavkih) kje je default, timeout in kako jim spremeniti vrednosti in tudi NEskrivanje je za mene skrivnost.
    Resnično sem AMATER in če si lahko vzameš nekaj časa in odtipkaš malo daljše navodilo bom zelo vesel in obljubim, da ne bom nikoli več zinil, da je LINUX program.

    "skriješ" oz zakomentiraš pa s tem da daš # (lojtro) pred vrstico oz besedo Hidemenu

    Moja menu lista je očitno že takšna kot je potrebno, vsaj mislim.

    GRUB se lepo odpira še celo lepo modro slikico ima in jaz brez problema izberem sistem. Vendar v U-tuju 5 sem lahko na namizju v SISTEM/NASTAVITVE ali ADMINISTRACIJA (malo sem pozabljiv)
    urejeval, kateri OS naj se zažene samodejno po (xx) sekundah.
    In to jaz pogrešam!

    hja to pa ne bi vedel. Nisem mel nikol izkusenj s dual booto oz finkcionalnosti ki jo opisujes

    Verjetno boš ti prej kot jaz zasledil, kako se da rešiti "moj problem". Pa te prosim, da ga uFORUMaš, mogoče še komu prav pride.

  • Pa saj imaš savedefault.
    Vedno se bo samodejno zagnal sistem, ki si ga pognal zadnjič (razen če nimaš napisane vrstice savedefault. V tovjem primeru je to rescue mode)

    Ugnal sem ga, mislim na GRUB.
    Ker sem želel, da mi se winXP zažene prednostno, sem menu.lst,spremenil takole:
    -default 0 v default 6-sequence (win je pri meni v Grub-u v 6 vrstici)
    in v timeaut 10, sem si izbral timeaut 3_secunds (kar je dovolj časa, da si premi
    slim).
    In tako se v 3 sekundah zažene WinXP.

  • Ave Ubuntovci!
    Spet je moje "znanje zmrznilo" pri pri GRUB-u.
    Namreč v novem Ubuntu 7.04 (Feisty Fawn), ne znam shraniti spremembo, ki sem jo naredil v /menu.lst /!
